Esco Technologies Inc. , a world leader in laboratory equipment, has won orders from Wistar Institute to supply a significant
number of biological safety cabinets to its newest vivarium and research facilities located in West Philadelphia.
The
Wistar Institute is America's first independent institution devoted to
medical research and training. The Wistar
Institute has evolved from its beginnings as an anatomical teaching
museum to its present-day status as an international leader in basic
biomedical research. It adds to the prestigious list of customers that
includes the World Health Organization, MIT and Princeton
University. The project will be delivered in the first quarter of 2013.
This
facility will be equipped with Esco's Labculture Class II Type A2
biosafety cabinet which is also the world's most
certified BSC. Its modern and ergonomic designs help ensure a very high
level of working comfort for the operators. Some of the features include
the 10 degree sloped front design, low noise levels, warm 5000K
lighting and the popular raised arm rest.
This
project also profits from Esco's close proximity to site. Esco has the
ability to provide fast delivery, installation
and technical service support directly right from its Philadelphia head
office which also houses its nationwide service center and warehouse.
The increased development of biotech research in the Philadelphia area
is an extremely encouraging trend. It will continue
to be an important focus area for Esco's long-term growth.
