Esco's range of isolators suitable for sterility testing includes the Containment Barrier Isolator (CBI), Aseptic Containment Isolator (ACTI), and the General Processing Platform Isolator (GPPI). The GPPI has been recommended for this client.
The GPPI features a unidirectional laminar airflow, user selectable positive or negative chamber pressures, single pass or recirculating airflow regimes, and a safe change filter design. This unit has been designed to have inflatable seals. Overall, it is constructed for handling potent and non-potent aseptic products; making it the best fit for the client’s requirements.
An essential feature of this isolator is its built-in hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) bio- decontamination system which can provide a 6 log reduction in viable contaminants in a reduced time cycle. Additionally, it allows the individual processing of either the main chamber or the pass through chamber (PTC); thus, enabling batch processing in the main chamber while sterilizing the next one in the PTC.
